TaylorsFallsClimbingTrip
|
Taylors Falls State Park has a multitude of
amazing rock climbing areas drawing climbers
from every level to its rock faces. Most
climbing areas are located less than 15 minutes
from our base camp. We will focus on the
essential skills required to get out on the rock
and climb! Topics covered include climbing
movement, bouldering skills, knots, rope work,
belaying, rappelling, building anchors using
natural and artificial components for top rope
climbing set ups, and deciphering climbing
grades. We practice “Leave No Trace” wilderness
skills. Evenings will include chapel times,
hanging around the campfire, debriefing from the
day and other activities. The trip will give
campers a better understanding of God’s Word and
the basic skills needed to climb. |
