| Sharing
your faith and being an example to youth is a
privilege and a great responsibility. One aspect of
this responsibility is being a person of integrity
and a role model for others to follow. Therefore,
our concern is to find capable people with a high
degree of Christian maturity and enthusiasm, who are
willing to set aside some of their own needs and
desires to serve campers. Each staff member has
specific duties, but all staff are expected to be
prepared to teach camper devotions and counsel a
camper in need of help.
Staff Expectations
The Rock Ridge
staff is comprised of responsible individuals who
are given the task of developing and implementing
the program at Rock Ridge, as well as ministering to
each other and the campers. Staff members should
display Christian maturity as well as a desire to
see God use them in important leadership and
discipleship roles.
• A life which exhibits a
personal relationship with Jesus
• Christ as Savior and Lord.
• A desire to communicate personal faith to campers.
• A genuine enjoyment of working with campers.
• An ability to work well with other staff and
campers.
• A love for the outdoors.
• A life that exhibits maturity in lifestyle.

full summer at Rock Ridge, you can still be a part
of the excitement. The SWAT Team provides students
(8th grade completed and above) with a one-week
staff experience. The program is a great way to
learn how to serve and get an introduction to being
on camp staff. The SWAT Team serves in a variety of
ways including dish crew, kitchen preparation,
maintenance, and program. Students will be
introduced to the basics of camp life and work, and
will spend time doing devotions together, memorizing
verses, team building, learning procedures and

collegiate staff. SWAT Team members will be involved
in daily Bible studies along with their various
tasks and evening activities. You may choose to work
one session during the summer.
