HORSE TRIP FOR GRADES 10-12!
THE EXPERIENCE
OUTPOST HORSE TRIP
Offsite Horse Trip to Pillsbury State Forest offers teens an exciting adventure filled with daily trail riding, horse care, and outdoor camping. After preparing at the ranch, each camper is paired with a horse to care for throughout the trip. They’ll spend six days and five nights and up to 8 hours a day exploring the scenic trails on horseback, sleeping in tents, and enjoying meals cooked over the campfire.
Along with the thrill of trail riding and camping, this trip provides a meaningful opportunity for campers to grow in their faith. They’ll study God’s Word and encourage each other in their walk with Christ. It’s a perfect blend of adventure, nature, and spiritual growth.
The trip departs from and returns to Camp Shamineau. Horses, tack, camping gear, and food are all provided. Campers just need to bring personal items like a sleeping bag, pillow, clothes, rain gear, and toiletries. Campers are expected to take care of their horse, participate in meal prep, cleanup, and other campsite chores.
This unique trip combines the beauty of creation with the adventure of horseback riding and camping, all while deepening your teen’s faith. They’ll learn valuable skills in horse care and outdoor living, while experiencing the joy of connecting with God in nature.
