Have an Impact this Summer!

At Camp Shamineau, our mission is to share the Gospel of Jesus with children and youth through relationships and fun camp experiences. This happens for thousands of kids at Camp Shamineau every summer, and you can be a part of making it possible! In addition to fulfilling this mission, summer staff members get the opportunity to grow closer to God, build meaningful friendships, and learn valuable life skills, all while having a ton of fun in a camp setting!

Positions Available

Counseling Staff

Invest in the lives of kids by leading them through exciting activities, teaching fun Bible lessons, and building meaningful relationships. Apply to be a Lead Counselor, Assistant Counselor, or Cabin Coordinator.ย  Applicants must be completing at least 9th grade and be able to attend Staff Training and at least one additional week of camp.ย 

Activities Staff

ย Help kids grow, have fun, and challenge themselves at the waterfront, ropes course, and climbing wall.ย  Apply to be a lifeguard, Lead Activities Facilitator, or Assistant Activities Facilitator. Applicants must be completing at least 9th grade and be able to attend Staff Training and at least three additional weeks of camp. Lifeguards must be at least 16 years old. No prior experience necessary.

Ranch Staff

Care for horses and help run the ranch program at Camp Shamineau. Apply to be a Wrangler or Assistant Wrangler Applicants must be completing at least 9th grade and be able to attend Staff Training and at least four additional weeks of camp.ย 

Support Staff

ย Be a part of making camp possible by serving in a support role. Positions are available in the kitchen, office, media, health center, gift shop, sound booth, and more! Applicants must be completing at least 9th grade.ย 

Volunteer Staff

Serve for two or three weeks on SWAT (Servants With A Task) helping clean, working in the kitchen, and more!ย  Or serve for one week at the Shamineau Ranch as a WIT (Wrangler In Training). All volunteer staff will get the opportunity to grow and learn in a team setting. Applicants must be completing at least 8th grade.ย 

Program Staff

Be a part of the leadership team that plans and runs the summer programming at Camp Shamineau. The program staff team is made up of a wide range of positions that include roles that plan and run camp activities, oversee and care for summer staff, and more! Applicants must be able to commit to working at camp mid-May through mid-August.
