RANCH HAND HORSE CAMP
For students completing grades 6-9

Ranch Hand is for “horse-crazy” kids who want to improve their horsemanship. Campers will be divided into groups of 3-4 based on their riding ability. No previous riding experience is necessary. Each morning they will spend 3 hours at the ranch and 1 of their afternoons during the week they will have an additional 1 ½ hours of ranch time. When not at the Ranch they will be part of the Voyager (Classic Camp) schedule. Ranch Hand Campers will get to experience horse camping when they ride out to spend one night “roughing it” in tents at our Outpost Campsite. Ranch time consists of both riding instruction and “ground time” instruction. Ground time includes safety lessons, leading, saddling, grooming horses. Other activities might include: driving the draft team, giving horses a bath, cleaning the tack, making a project in the leather shop.
