THE EXPERIENCE

RANCH HAND HORSE CAMP

Ranch Hand Horse Camp is designed for campers who wish to spend time with horses, grow in horsemanship knowledge and gain new experiences through riding lessons and equine activities. Campers will develop skills through daily time at the ranch. Campers will be divided into groups of 3-4 based on their riding ability. Ranch time consists of both riding instruction and ground lesson time. Ground time includes safety lessons, leading, saddling and grooming horses. Other activities might include: driving the draft team, giving horses a bath, cleaning the tack, or making a project in the leather shop. Ranch Hand campers will get to experience horse camping when they ride to our Outpost Campsite to spend one night “roughing it” in tents.

When not at the ranch, they will join with Voyager campers to enjoy other camp activities and deepen their understanding of God through chapel sessions and bible studies. No previous horse experience is necessary.
